Born in Washington, DC, and raised in the Arlington Ridge neighborhood of Arlington, Virginia, Alexander is a lifelong local who enjoys educating his clients on the market, and on the process of buying, selling, and renting. He can be trusted to openly discuss the pros and cons of specific homes in relation to a client’s needs and to secure a residence that best fits their unique wishes and lifestyle. Alexander has also lived in Ashland, Alexandria, and the Shirlington section of Arlington, as well as in the DC neighborhoods of Trinidad, U Street Corridor, Adams Morgan, and Mount Pleasant. He currently owns in Petworth where he resides with his wife Caroline, a senior Beagle/Lab Mix named Tank, and a soon-to-arrive baby boy. His deep knowledge of DC and Northern Virginia sets him apart and is of great benefit to clients seeking or selling homes in these vibrant areas. A key member of The Makris Group (www.themakrisgroup.com), at McEnearney, Alexander is a hardworking agent who brings excellent interpersonal, marketing, project management, problem-solving, and negotiating skills to each transaction. He previously worked as a general manager and customer service specialist in the hospitality industry for two decades and is known for his keen planning, organization, and attention to detail. Alexander earned an Associate’s degree in General Education from Northern Virginia CC, and a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree from the University of Virginia School of Continuing Studies. He is a co-captain of an annual fundraising team, Chris’ Cronies, involved in raising money and participating in Race for Hope Brain Tumor research. Alexander additionally enjoys going to local sporting events and is a die-hard Washington Commanders, Nationals, Wizards, Capitals, and DC United fan. Plus he loves playing pick-up basketball, hiking, and running, currently training for the Marine Corps Marathon.
